Paul Leon Mederos is an American professional free runner & traceur from Alexandria, VA. He is an original founder of American Parkour and The Tribe. In the Parkour and Freerunning world, he prefers to be called 'Leon' as a reference to Parkour's early online nicknames.
Career History
Paul began his career as a community leader for Virginia Parkour at the age of 15. Having trained closely with other prominent traceurs from the time, he quickly advanced his skills. At the age of 17 he was asked to be a founding member of American Parkour and of the freerunning team The Tribe.
Freerunning & Parkour
Putting his academic career first, he turned down many opportunities to perform freerunning professionally. At Virginia Tech, Paul founded one of the world's first official Parkour and Freerunning clubs - Virginia Tech Parkour and Freerunning. VTPK has grown to be one of the largest and most respected parkour clubs in North America. Throughout his career, he has travelled to over 100 active communities around the United States, with a focus on teaching and community leadership. Paul helped found the world's first Parkour gym, Primal Fitness in Washington DC. For unknown reasons, Paul actively refrains from being videotaped or photographed.
