Chase Armitage (born August 2, 1985[1]) from Basingstoke, UK is a member and founder of the 3RUN team. He is well-known in the free running community after appearing in many popular videos, such as Brother's Journey and Evolution.

He started free running at the age of 15[2]. Besides free running, Chase is also interested in film making and editing, with many of his more recent projects involving large amounts of editing[3].

[edit] Film/TV appearances

  • Parkour Journeys (2006)
    Chase featured in the Parkour Journeys DVD documentary, in a section called 'Chase Armitage On Parkour' which featured an interview with him[4].
  • David Guetta vs. The Egg (music video, 2007)
    Along with Daniel Ilabaca and other 3RUN team members, Chase performed several free running tricks around Elephant & Castle in the music video for the song David Guetta vs The Egg - Love Don't Let Me Go Walking Away[5].
  • The Bill (2008)
    In an episode of The Bill, Chase worked as a stunt double for for a criminal during a long chase scene, which involved the use of many parkour techniques[6][7]. The clip was uploaded to YouTube multiple times, but most have been taken down due to copyright infringement.
  • Harry Hill's TV Burp (2008)
    An episode of TV Burp, a show which takes a comic look at television programmes, featured a parody of the chase scene from The Bill, where Harry Hill, doubled by Chase[6][8] chased the criminal.
  • Guinness World Records: Smashed (2009)
    Chase appeared in a 2009 episode to attempt to break the record for further distance travelled from a wallflip. To add to the challenge, he performed the trick over a moving car[9]. He was successful, and now holds the record with a distance of 3 metres 4 centimetres[10].
  • Odd One In (2010)
    Chase featured as one of the line-up in a segment of the ITV1 show where the panel (including Jason Manford and Peter Andre) tried to guess which of the four were going to perform a wallflip. One of the two teams guessed correctly.[11]
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I (2010, filming)
    Chase and fellow 3RUN member Adam Brashaw are set to play the parts of Snatchers[9] in the first part of the final Harry Potter movie in the film which is due to be released in 2010[6].
