The crane is a landing position in which a traceur lands with one foot on top of an obstacle (usually a wall) and the other foot trailing below. This technique is most commonly used when a traceur is trying a running precision jump but doesn't have the height to make it with both feet on top of the wall. It can also be seen as an intermediate step when progressing from a running cat leap to a running precision to a wall.
