A down money or wall back handspring is a back handspring variation in which the hands push off a wall behind the person instead of on the floor, meaning that they must effectively monkey vault down through their hands so their feet reach the floor, hence the name down monkey. The move is often attempted from standing[1], however it is also possible to line up a round-off or back handspring so that the down monkey comes in a combo after one of them[citation needed].

The move was invented by Y-Clan.[citation needed]

[edit] Variations

  • One handed down monkey - Only one hand pushes off the wall[2]
